Blessed Imbolc!
The start of a new month, but also the beginning of the season of light, and with that the end of winter and the more difficult times.
It is a Celtic festival and it evolves much around the Irish goddess Brigid, goddess of fire, healing, and fertility.
As all Celtic festivals fire is an important aspect and during Imbolc fires were lit around which they did their celebrations.
In Western culture this festival is more known as "Maria Light Mas" or "Candle Mas", so still the aspect of light.
